When I was a kid my family would go to Greece every year. In the States, my parents were SUPER strict, but I could go anywhere with my cousins at night in Greece. And we'd go to the ocean after dark, to the same shore in Dioliskari, Messinia- where my family had been going for generations.
The water at night was magnificent. But my FAVORITE was swimming under the moonlight, where the reflection would dance on the surface, mirroring the stars in the sky.
I will forever be grateful to my parents for these memories. And of course, to my cousins, who were like siblings to me. And still are.
